Inspicio

Terms of use

Effective November 5, 2026

Inspicio is a free tool that shows the metadata stored in your photos. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Inspicio.

Inspicio is run by one individual in British Columbia, Canada (“the operator”, “we”).

Acceptable use

Only open photos you have the right to use. Don’t use Inspicio to locate, track, stalk, harass or harm anyone, or to break any law. A photo’s location can reveal where someone lives or spends time, so please respect other people’s privacy.

No warranty

Inspicio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Metadata can be missing, wrong or deliberately faked, and Inspicio may misread a file or not support it. Don’t rely on Inspicio’s results as proof in legal, insurance, safety or similar matters without checking them independently.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or reputation, that arise from using Inspicio or being unable to use it. In any case, our total liability is limited to CAD $50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, or for bodily injury. Some places don’t allow these limits at all; there, they apply only as far as the law permits.

Other services

The optional map comes from Mapbox, and the map link opens OpenStreetMap. Their own terms apply when you use them, including the Mapbox Terms of Service. Map data © Mapbox © OpenStreetMap contributors. See the privacy policy for what each one receives.

Source code

Inspicio’s source code is available on GitHub under the MIT License. That license covers the code; these terms cover your use of the website.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top. Using Inspicio after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
